What is Vietnam–Laos–Vietnam Cross Border Service?

Vietnam–Laos–Vietnam Cross Border Logistics is a two-way land transportation solution connecting Vietnam and Laos through strategic international border crossings and the East–West Economic Corridor (EWEC).

The service supports both Vietnam → Laos exports and Laos → Vietnam imports, coordinating transportation, customs procedures, border operations, and final delivery.

A strategically important route is the Lao Bao – Dansavanh border connection. On the Vietnamese side, the EWEC begins at Lao Bao International Border Gate in Quảng Trị, continues along National Highway 9, and connects toward Đông Hà and Đà Nẵng.

Vietnam–Laos trade has been growing strongly.

Bilateral trade reached a record USD 2.98 billion in 2025, increasing 32.7% from 2024. Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade also identified the two countries' 2,337-kilometer shared border and their position along the East–West Economic Corridor as important foundations for cross-border economic and logistics development.
